2000 GMC Sierra Front Differental Noise

There is oil on the driver's side of my front differential that has slung out everywhere along with a whirring noise that changes pitch according to my speed. The whirring noise stops when I quickly turn left and comes back when I straighten out. Any Idea's?

Possible damaged bearings on the front diff carrier.
