Fuel gauge does not come off the peg when I start the truck. If I move the truck and then stop and put the selector in Park the gauge will perform correctly. A friend of mine has a 1999 Chev Silverado that does the same thing.

I tried the braking thing and it didn't cause the gauge to move. I tried tapping on the gauge and that didn't work. If I stop and put the selector in park the gauge comes right on up. If I just drive the gauge will eventually come on up. It takes maybe 4 or 5 miles.
Thank you, Bob

Well that rules out float and possibly gague. No other gague or any thing electrical acting up? I'll ask other moderators see if anyones come across this.
