My 1999 GMC sierra has a low idle and then shuts off after 5 to 15 mins when i press gas pedal it has a backfire sound in the engine and air comes out from airbox. i change spark plugs and wires and fuel filter can you please help me? Engine is 5.3L vortec V8

Try cleaning out the MAF sensor and also check the TPS and MAP sensors to include the EGR valve.
