1998 GMC Sierra max ac on switch

hi my truck used to when you have the ac on you could turn the temp. switch all the way to max position and with the fan on all the way or highest position when you turn the temp to max it would kick the fan on even higher i put a new fan in but the max psition does not change the air flow what is the solution to my problem please help me

you may have a relay bad it is on the blower housing i've included a pic it doesn't show it but it will be on it. you'll hav eto look.
