1996 GMC Sierra

if i press the brake pedal my brake lights dont work,if i tap them they will work....its almost like they lose connection once pedal is pressed...can you offer advice please

THe brake light switch is located on the top of the brake pedal. Check to make sure it is properly adjusted and check for loose connections.
