I have a bearing hum in my front axle.

It sounds like it is right under my feet.

the halve shafts front bearings are new and I still hear this hum.

I also have a vibration at about 55 to 65 mph.

If you asked me the ujoints would be bad but they are also new. I think it is the output shaft bearing /front driveshaft output bearing but i'm not sure. Can you help me and if so how does this beaering come out? Do we have to break down the case? Maybe I'm completely wrong but I do know when I slow down I can hear a tick tick tick like a bad bearing and it growls after 35mph.

thanks for the help.

Hi Jon
Well it depends on if the output bearing is bad or carrier bearings. Output bearing comes out just like the rear axle through the front. I would remove the driveshaft and check for tightness. However it can be tight and still be bad enough to make a vibration. Hope this helps please vote billymac
