1992 GMC Sierra died and wont start

I have a 92 GMC 1500 4x4 with a 5.0l engine. I was drveing home and it just stopped running. I have spark. But the fuel pump is not comming on. I replaced it and the fuel relay. Still not comming on. Is the fuel system controled by somthing else? OH also the fuel fuse will have power only for 2 secounds and then goes dead, I was under the impresion it should always be hot. Any help you can give would be awsome. Thanks

The fuel pump is energized for 2 seconds to prime the system. Then the fuel pump runs off the oil pressure sending unit combined with the fuel pump relay. Check the oil pressure switch.
