I need to know the location of the tansfer case Actuator on a 1988 GMC 1500 seirra 4X4. Thanks for any info!

bluelightnin6: Do you think that it would be the Actuator? My husband says the truck feels like it is in 4 wheel drive for about a quarter of a mile and then it drives ok. Thanks for any info.

does it feel like it's in 4WD mainly when turning at first? does 4WD stay engaged when you manually engage it? it may be u joints starting to bind up and fail
