My heater core is leaking coolant into the cab of my truck and underneath my heater core is a small puddle of coolant every day when i go to start it. I was wondering if theres a way to by pass the heater core just till i get a new one. Theres two hoses, one that goes from the radiator to the heater core nipple and one that goes from the other heater core nipple to the top of the engine towards the back. Can i just connect a hose from the radiator to the engine and bypass the heater core ? And would this prevent any coolant from leaking into the cab ?

Just go to the auto part's store they sell a pipe that you put both hose's that go to the heater core nipple's on to this pipe and it will stop the coolant inside till you change the heater core.
