After shanging the oil filter in the Transmission I have a check engine light and the forward movement of the van when in any forward gear is very sluggish, not like normal, reverse is normal. Did I knock a connector off inside the tranny when I replaced the pan?

It's possible you knocked something loose, but not likely. You'll need to have the ECM scanned so we know what triggered the CE light. This will tell us which direction to go, and save a lot of guessing. Please advise.
