While checking to see why the van would'nt start I removed the fuel lines at top of engine to check fuel pump. Attempted to start veh and no fuel pumped, so I wanted to check fuel filter but there seems to be a special tool required to remove it. There is no nut to remove it with, only a disconnecting plug that looks like it is to be pressed and pulled to remove.

Hi enjoytheLord,

Thank you for the donation.

For the plug in type of connector, push the pipe further in to release the tension on the 2 tabs and press them before you pull the joint off.

The tabs might require some hard pressing to get the locking points off. The pipe also might require some force to pull out as the O ring might be hugging it rather tight.

By the way, if no fuel is coming out, you should be checking the fuel pump operations.
