WHEN I START VAN, A TICKING NOISE IS HEARD FOR TWO MINUTES OR SO, THEN GOES AWAY. OIL PRESSURE LOOKS GOOD, BUT COULD OIL PUMP BE BAD?

No. Most common problem for this noise is actually a exhaust leak from the y pipe to manifold area and when it heats up the metal expands and noise is gone. Although it is possible to have the start of some bad lifters. Check the exhaust first. Hope this helps

Hi,

Allow me to add to this post. My 1999 Savana (5.7L) w/71K. It has made the same noises, sometimes ticking, sometimes more of a rattle, then goes away with a little driving. I'm thinking more of an oil delivery issue when cold. Recently I posted regarding a non cranking, loss of oil pressure, check gauge light issue. Now, with these additional posts, I'm wondering how widespread this may be?
Anyone else?
