Wy 2001 safari just came out of service two weeks ago. I had trouble apon its return it would skip at idle and while driving. When I took it back the dealer claimed that I had a bad gasket. When I challenged him on that he took it in kept it for two days and claimed that it had a loose spark plug wire. Now this week it has started shaking at idle and in reverse. It is very bad when in reverse or at a stop light but it levels out when I drive it. When it is being driven it is just fine, when I stop at a light or stop sign the rattling and shaking comes back. I don't trust the dealer enough to take it back without some idea of what I might be dealing with.

sounds like a bad lower intake gasket causing internal vacuum leak. have another garage give you a second opinion.
