I recently changed my fuel pump because my van broke down on the side of the highway. I was always able to hear the fuel pump start once the key was turned on and I could no longer hear it. I assumed it was the fuel pump. Once changed I still could not hear nor start my vehicle. I was wondering if there could be a problem with my wiring. If so, do you have a diagram or an answer to help me figure this out?

i would start off by checking the fuel pump relay which is located in the underhood fuse/relay box.

connect a test light between fuel pump test terminal and ground turn the ignition on the light should illuminate for 2 seconds then go out, if not check the relay.

Also check the fuel pump fuse. if htose are both good check for a short in the fuel pum wiring harness.
