van is turning over but not starting

The battery was going and so I replaced it. Now the van is turning over but not starting. It wants to and its right there but just not starting. Does anyone know what could have caused this?

Does the engine start and then shut off almost instantaniously? Try this, turn the key on but DO NOT crank the engine.Keep it in this position for 16 minutes. Then turn the key off for 8 seconds. Then try to start your safari..Let me know what happens..
