1989 GMC S15 Removing an ECM on an 89 s15

For the love of god, how do you get the Electronic Control Module (ECM) out? I have a haynes and it tells me NOTHING! please help!!!

Remove the glove compartment and the ECM is right behind it bolted to the firewall. If you look up behind the dash on the passenger side you will see it up there.
