I have a 1988 GMC S15 with a 2.5 four cyl. I need to know how to remove the cam timing gear. Has no chain just two gears. The crank gear slid right off but I dont see any way to remove the other one. Thanks in advance.

Cam gear pressed onto camshaft so camshaft must be removed. Valve cover off loosen rockers remove push rods. Remove intake manifold then lifter side covers then lifters. Then remove oil pump shaft.
