I have a 1992 3/4 ton chevy pu and need to change my turning/windshield wiper lever. I have been told that after taking of the retaining nut under the plastic horn casing that I just pull off the steering wheel but on the other hand I have been told that I need a gear puller to get the steering wheel off? Can anyone tell me which one is correct? Thank you

Hi, Sandman. You definitly need a wheel puller to get it off. They are not real costly or if you live around an Autozone I think it is a loaner tool from them and is pretty simple to use. Just line up slots with bolt holes, insert bolts, line up center shaft of puller with stud on column and tighten down and the wheel should slowly raise up off column and there you go. At least, that is basically how it should work. Good luck. 8)
