OLDS CUTLESS Ciera WON'T START

1988 CUTLESS CIERA RAN EARLIER TODAY BUT WOULD NOT START LATER. THOUGHT BATTERY WAS BAD SO REPLACED WITH NEW ONE STILL NOTHING. NO NOISE FROM ANYTHING. ALL LIGHTS ETC WORK BUT WILL NOT TURN OVER OR NOTHING.I AM THINKING ITS A BAD FUSE BUT NOT SURE WHERE TO FIND INGNITION FUSE ANYONE KNOW?

Trouble codes? Does your fuel pump come on for three seconds when you turn ignition on and then turn off?

If your 88 has a crankshaft sensor that isn't working, the computer will think the car is in an accident and so it must shut everything off so that it's not worsening an accident scene by pumping fuel etc.

I'm assuming your not getting any movement from the starter. So I would check the starter and solenoid, ignition switch, and relays.

A fuse/relay panel might also be found in the engine compartment on the firewall.
