What to check next

Diagnostic guidance. Suggested checks and possible repairs are separate from the owner's reported results.

Have the coolant level and heater-core flow evaluated before authorizing heater-core replacement. Ask the technician to compare heater-hose temperatures safely; do not handle hot hoses or open a hot cooling system.

First warm up the car and turn on the heat.
Then touch the 2 hoses going through the firewall to the heater core.
If one is hot and the other is not.
You have a clogged heater core.
Also check your fluid level.

Reported outcome: No test results or completed repair were reported.

A reply suggested checking coolant level and comparing heater-hose temperatures. A restriction was proposed, but the discussion does not establish a clogged heater core.
