driver headlight low beam not working

hello, 99 chevy trailblazer (has S-10 body) only driverside headlight (low beam) does not turn on. I have replaced the bulb socket, it came on for a second then went off just as fast. Manual switch doesn't turn it on either. Thanks for your help.

did you touch the bulb? if so it will blow from the oil in your skin, also check the socket. if corroded it will short across. if it is corroded get some diode greese and install
