A few weeks ago I left a friends house and went to start my truck and it just turned over. I had the truck towed home and started diagnosing. There was lots of fuel, and compression, but no spark, I replaced a few parts that i thought could have caused the problem. Cap, Rotor, Wires, and the coil. Still nothing, there is adequate voltage going into the coil, but nothing coming out. There is a good signal from the PCM also...I'm lost.

Discussion summary

'98 Chev Truck: No start

The owner of a 1998 Chevrolet truck reported that the engine cranked but would not start, with no spark observed. Replacing the distributor cap, rotor, wires and coil did not help. A later crankshaft-sensor replacement also failed to restore spark.

Reported outcome: The owner reported that the no-spark condition persisted after all the listed replacements. No successful repair was reported.

The thread supplies no measurement values or methods for the reported voltage and signal observations. The unsuccessful replacements do not establish which component or connection caused the problem.
