2004 Other GMC Models AC PROBLEMS

I recently put a new battery in my car and now when I turn on the AC it just shuts off, please tell me what the problem is thanks.

if the a/c shuts off then it has to be ow on charge. that means it leaked someplace. have a pro look at it he can tell you as soon as he hooks up guages to it.
