2002 Other GMC Models transfer case

I have a 2002 gmc envoy for 3 years no problem now the four wheel when you start the truck the indicator lights on the dash cycle through 2hi, awl, 4hi, 4lw, n. Then they go off and the "service 4WD" light comes on on the dash. 4 wheel drive never engages
