2001 Other GMC Models Four Wheel Drive

I have yukon xl 1500. ecmb fuse blown up, replqced it with higher rate one,fuse blows again ,found fuel pump faulty, replaced it. Now fuse gets hot and after a day or two blows up.I suspect fuel pump cable problem, am I correct?, if so how can i do it? where do I find instructions and drawing, I am an electrical engineer.

very common area is the wiring harness plug top the fuel tank
remove and check if its burnt if so
replace the fuel module and connector pig tail too
instruction and wiring should be included all in the box with the fuel module
if not check back of fuse box and wiring harness under hood
