1999 Other GMC Models Hard Start When Warm

Starts right away when cold. Cranks for several seconds when warm. Back fires every couple of weeks.

The fuel pressure regulator may be your problem if it is leaking. Sometimes there will be a raw fuel scent at the motor when this happens. The 5.3 motors were affected by this.

No gas scent with the 5.7 last year produced with that engine motor was warm after 20mins it finally started
