The vechicle charges for the first two hours. The ampmeter indicator is in the center. After two hours the indicator begins to drop and the vechicle runs until the battery is completely discharged which takes about another two hours. The alternator and battery have been replaced and are new. The problem seems to be time or temperature related.
What could be the cause?

Have the altinator checked. It has a built in voltage regular and that could be bad. that is why the battery chatges then discharges. You can take it to most auto stores and they can check its output.
