1965 Other GMC Models 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I need to know how to set my timing on my 1965 gmc truck. it has a 305E v6 in it. I got the new timing chain set. just need to know where my marks need to be at. and do I need to reset my distributor by turning it back to #1? right now it is between #1 and #2 but my #1 cylinder is on compression stroke at the top.[img:b6c9cd7bea]http://www.2carpros.com/forum/automotive_pictures/177847_PA070059_1.jpg[/img:b6c9cd7bea]

Do you need help with the distributor placement or ignition timing? Did you already replace the chain?
