When I have the transmission in reverse the back up lights do not function, I have checked the fuses, and the vehicle was not inondated, what are the chances of both lights burning out at the same time? this being a manual transmission I'm not sure if there is a neutral switch, I have not checked the lights or light sockets connectors...... What is your opinion on what the problem may be? Dealers want to run a computer diagnostic I was told to save the $100 because a diagnostic check has nothing to do with back up lights.... Do not know who to believe anymore. Help thank you for taking the time.

Hi there, there should be a reverse light switch on the side of the transmission, check this first.
