2001 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 270k miles

The engine cut off on the highway when doing 70 mph, I think it may be the fuel sensor or filter

If you think it is a fuel system problem, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one? I'm not sure of the litre size of your engine? The fuel pressure spec for the 4.3L is 60--66 psi.
