Shift out of Park

Transmission problem 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

I can not get the transmission to shift out of PARK into Neutral.....have tried by placing foot on brake and pulliung back on shifter it will not move

Most common is a brake light switch or fuse step on the brake pedal and check if brake lights on if not check fuses and check brake light switch top brake pedal to get going for know you can try this turn key on not all the way engine off step on the brakes and try to move the shifter to N and then start and drive

Hello,

There is a interlock shift solenoid that goes out in these cars which makes it so you cannot shift it out of park. Here is a diagram to show you its location so you can get the problem fixed.
