2000 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I need to replace my cracked passenger side view mirror. I canot tell how to remove the cracked mirror so I can insert the new mirror. Any ideas?

are you trying to replace the mirror glass it self or the whole assembly

Just the glass piece which has a rubber or plastic trim. The glass was cracked and the rest of the mirror unit is fine.

do you have the new one yet. they shoud just pop on and off the assembly
