2000 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 124k miles

i cannot seem to get the fuel filter off ogf my jimmy. the front and rear couplings come off easily, but it will not budge out of the plastic ring that secures it to the frame. any suggestions?

can the clamp be unbolted form the other side of the frame. or you can use a channel locks to push it through
