what other years of 4.3 v6 engines will work in a 2000 gmc jimmy. I bought a 92 but was told it won't work cause crank sensor in different place.

Best approach with this is to call a local junkyard and ask.

They have interchangeability charts from year to year.

The 2000 is OBDII controlled and the 1992 is OBDI controlled, two incompatabile systems.
