2000 GMC Jimmy emergency flasher

I have a 2000 gmc Jimmy 108000 miles when driving it the other day the emergency flashers came on by there own. when I got home I pushed down the flasher button and now the blinkers won't work at all. Earlier that day I had my radio worked on. Could they have messed with something in the dash? I have an older 1988 Jimmy with 272000 miles and never had this problem this car is a trooper. Help.

Could be related to the radio. The flasher is located below the radio behind the dash.
