2000 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive 140000 miles

Hi everybody, here's my problem, my 4x4 switch doesn't go on at all from the axle to the dash they told me everything is ok! but l press on the button to engage the 4x4 switch and nothing. Please l need help Thank you!!

sounds like your 4x4 module is locking up. you can disconnect it for 30 seconds and see if it will start working properly. it is located behind the passenger side kick panel
