My windshield wipers have stopped working. For the past year they would work on and off and sometimes needed to be moved to begin working. An auto repair shop said it is probably the computer card that controls the wipers. Is there such a thing? where is it and can I buy one and replace it. He said the card is about $40 and labor $40. Also my engine light is on but some times goes off. ( it is on more then off)
Thanks for help

what i need you to do is check to see if there is power to the wiper motor when it doesn't work. If there is power, then chances are the motor is going bad.

As far as the check engine light, take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer for codes. Most will do it for free, and then you'll know what is causing the light to come on.

Let me know what you find.
