1999 GMC Jimmy cant get it to start

i started it to let it run a bit before i left. it ran a few mins then just simply shut off. it spit and sputtered and shut off. now it wont start rolls puffs and spurts but wont start it kinda back fires... good gas pressure good spark plugs good battery brand new fuel pump installed weeks ago have no other problems with except is would sputter but only for a few mins. any ideas please let me know.

good gas pressure ,What was the fuel pressure reading? I need to know this before we can continue to troubleshoot this problem also do you have a snapping blue spark
