About 8 months ago, my check engine soon light came on with the code "Manufacturer Control Transmission". I had it checked out, nothing found, and light was turned off. Jimmy runs wonderfully, transmission is fine, changes gears very smoothly, runs just it has for many many years/miles. Last weekk, it happened again -- same error code. The transmission fluid is fine; doesn't leak. I hate to spend the money again to be told there is nothing wrong. What exactly does the "Manufacturer Control Transmission" code mean? Is it something that may not show up when transmission is checked out? Or should I just have the light turned off again? Many thanks!

have the harness checked for a bare spot and grounding out if it's setting the code again. then have it removed...... especially if everything works ok. if it comes on again then there is something definitely wrong and should be looked into further.
