Hi, this is the second time! We have a 1997 GMC Jimmy with about 115,000km, 4.3 liter engine. Once I put it into park and turn off the ignition, the engine will not shut off. I pulled a line (not sure which one) from the fuel injection and it stops, but the lights stay on and the dash stays lit. It has happened before and I don't remember how I stopped it. I've now disconnected the battery for the night. Any suggestions?

Either the throttle plate is not fully closed and permiting it to run-on/diesel or the ignition switch is defective.
