Replaced my alternator and serpentine belt about 6 months ago. Since I did that, my idler pully has been knocking some when in park. When there is torque on the belt, it doesn't rattle, but in park, or idling, it rattles. Any suggestions?

Hi joshfrega,

Thank you for the donation.

When rattling occurs for serpentine belts with auto tensioners, either the belt is loose, due to improper length or wear, or the autotensioner is weak/failing.

Since the belts are still good, you most propably need to replace the auto tensioner.
