Ive had several problems in the last year and a half including but not limited to: 2 fuel pumps and filters, 2 water pumps, dist. Cap and plugs n' wires, extreme radiator flush after blown head gasket, got "new" used motor mount. And 2 transmission coolant lines before they finally got me a "new" used one. Starter, battery replaced. After new motor mount, every now and again, and it seemed to only be when it rained, it wouldn't start initially, i'd have to turn the key back and forth to engage fuel pump. Then it would fire up with roaring smoke and smell of gas. It wouldnt idle without dying, so id ease on thr throttle, but it would jerk and shake violently while sitting in park and couldnt hold a steady rpm. After 10-15 min i'd hear the engine rev on its own and wind down and ran good, sometimes for the first few miles id jerk and sputter! This was still happeneing after another fuel pump, filter and "extreme tune-up". Didnt do anything but postpone the prob for a few weeks.

okay so finally the last day I drove it, it took forever to start and was jumping n shakin again. Ran through it like I normally do, went to the gas station, shut it off. Turned it back on and it seemed to be going fine! Got on the highway and got up to 70ish and let off the gas, when I needed to accellerate again there was nothing, no power steering. The whole 9 yrds. Got it to a buddies house, but I dont know what else it can be! Now when I try to turn it over it kicks twice normal and the third turn flattens out. ANY IDEAS AT ALL?

Hi:

Have you checked the map, mass air flow, and TPS? As far as the fuelpump, has anyone checked the fuel pump relay and pressure regulator? Was there ever a clicking sound when trying to start it?
