1996 GMC Jimmy 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 200k miles

i thot i had a bad front seal on the trans. during teardown i found trans fluid in the ventline from the transfer case. what would cause this and how can i fix it?

this is caused by the front seal on the transfer case being bad, allowing the transmission to pump oil into it. replace the front seal and you will be all set.
