Transmission problem
1996 GMC Jimmy

The Jimmy's RPMs(in park) start at 1500, when you give it gas it will rev up and stick and will continue to do so each time you give it gas. What is the problem?

Clean out the idle air control valve and see what happens.

cleaned out IAC problem still actice...IAC wasnt very dirty ...pulled off EGR and TPS cleaned both reinstalled now it wont even crank... go figure

Recheck all 3 of them and take a fuel pressure reading and comeback with it-

Pos term was loose ..rpms are fine now sitting at 1000 when cranked.. then drops to about 800... thanks for your assistance
