My fuel pump on my 96 GMC stays running even after I turn the key off, it keeps killing the batteriy. what could be causing this and what should I check first? I just had the pump tested and it was fine with the fuel pressure, it also runs fine and seems to not have a problem when driving?

Welcome to the forum, check the oil pressure switch in the fuel pump circuit. My info showed the switch is located behind the distributor.
