I just bought a 96 GMC Jimmy and right away I found out that the 4wd didn't work, so on my quest to find out why the 4wd drive doesn't work i've replaced the dash board switch, the vacuum actuator, the transfer case module and I found a vacuum plug setup on top of the transfer case unplugged and still the 4wd doesn't work. When I push the 4hi button I can hear it under the vehicle make the transfer from 2wd to 4wd but it still doesn't work and when I push the 4lo button all it does is flash?????? What else can I do?

Have you checked the vac line going to the actuator that is under the battery? Next I would check the cable that goes from the actuator to the differential.
