When sitting and idling about 5-10 min, with the air conditioning on, the engine will stall (as if the key was turned off, no hesitation or sputtering). Engine will not restart unless I spray some starter fluid in the air tube. Once the engine starts again, it will shut down again in 5-10 min. At idle only. Engine will idle fine with A/C off. Car will drive fine with the A/C on or off. I just replaced the fuel pump, fuel tank sending unit, fuel filter and fuel pump relay. I don't know if this problem was occuring prior to fuel pump replacement as I have not used the A/C since last year. I disconnect the compressor in the winter to save gas (as you know thecompressor runs when windowshield defogger is on). Any ideas? Thanks, John

Do you have a check engine light?

Check the fuel pressure and idle air control valve/TPS/MAP sensors-also the EGR valve

Thanks for the quick reply. Couple more questions if you don't mind.
1. Can you help me with locating the Idle Control Valve and MAP sensors on car truck?
2. TPS = Trottle Position Sensor?
MAP = Manifold Air Pressure?
3. Check engine light is on. I do have my son coming over tomorrow with his code reader. Any specific codes I should look for.
Also, I will donate ASAP. I just broke the bank with the fuel system repairs. Thanks again, John
