1992 GMC Jimmy digital dash

I have a digital dash that most of every thing went black. Every thing except the milage and speedom.
I checked the blubs in the back and they were good. I thought it was a bad connection between the main plug and the dash but that was good. So I checked the main fuse the 20A under the dash and that was BAD. I replaced it and it blew agian. I looked for a bad wire or ground to make that fuse blow so quick and can't find any thing. I would sure like to have my gas gage working again. Please help!

Those dashes shorted out on occasion and blew fuses. Best bet would be to remove the instrument cluster and unplug it to see if the fuse still blows. If not then the cluster is bad. Was anything acting odd before this started happening?
