you see, i have this problem with my jimmy. When i turn the key in the ignition, white smoke comes out of the exhaust pipes. It would fill up my few and it smelled very foul, is the problem in the engine or the transmission, because i have no knowledge about cars

this is a engine problem. somehow coolant is getting into your intake system. either a head gasket or a intake gasket. hope this helps. feedback is appreciated
