1989 GMC Jimmy engine noise

My 1989 GMC jimmy S-15 makes noise wen i press on the trotle sounds like it needs a valve job but it doesn't do it wen it's in park and just idles .I just got this truck so i dont know is this normal or any suggestion , i saw 2 other truks and they son the same.

are you sure it is coming from inside the engine? what does it sound like? i would try to remove the belt and listen and see if the noise is still there then you will know for sure if it is internal or not.
